Peptamen Junior 1.5 Peptide Based Nutritionally Complete Tube Feeding Formula, 8.45 oz

This pediatric peptide-based formula is designed for children ages 1–13 with impaired GI function. It is suitable for those with lactose intolerance and following a gluten-free diet. However, it is not suitable for individuals with cow's milk protein allergy or galactosemia, and should not be used for parenteral feeding.
This formula is intended for use under medical supervision and provides 1.5 kcal/mL. It contains 100% whey protein that is enzymatically hydrolyzed, meeting the 2011 IOM recommendations for calcium and vitamin D. The CalciLock® blend of nutrients supports healthy bone development, and 600 mg/L EPA and DHA are included to modulate pro-inflammatory mediators. Additionally, 60% of the fat is from MCT to decrease the potential for fat malabsorption.
Peptamen Junior® 1.5 provides nutritional support for children with various conditions affecting GI function, such as critical illness/trauma, transplant patients, Cystic Fibrosis, Crohn’s disease, Cerebral Palsy, short bowel syndrome, malabsorption, chronic diarrhea, growth failure, volume/fluid restrictions, early enteral feeding, or transitioning from TPN.
