The Novasource® Renal Tube Feeding Formula provides 18% of calories from protein (90.7 g/L) to meet needs and help replace losses associated with dialysis. It is calorically dense for patients who require a fluid restriction and has optimized electrolyte content (potassium, magnesium, phosphorus) to help manage imbalances. This nutritionally complete formula is suitable for tube feeding or oral supplementation and is appropriate for diets such as lactose intolerance, gluten-free, low-residue, and kosher. It is not recommended for individuals with galactosemia. The formula provides nutritional support for individuals with chronic kidney disease on dialysis (CKD), acute kidney injury (AKI), electrolyte restriction, or fluid restriction due to AKI or CKD.
